Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lough Derg in the charming village of Dromineer, our eleven Waterside Cottages offer a peaceful and comfortable base for visitors exploring the heart of County Tipperary. Located just outside the historic market town of Nenagh, the cottages combine scenic lakeside surroundings with easy access to local restaurants, walking routes, and outdoor activities.
Each cottage has been designed to provide a welcoming home-away-from-home experience. Spacious living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and comfortable bedrooms ensure guests have everything they need — whether you’re visiting for a weekend break, a family holiday, or a longer escape.

The Village
Dromineer — the Port of Ormond
Each port around Lough Derg has its own charm, and Dromineer is no exception. This postcard-perfect village sits a stone’s throw from where Lough Derg meets the Nenagh River, and is a favourite with boaters, who can moor in the public marina.
The lough offers canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle, sailing, cruising and power sports, with boat tours from Dromineer Harbour. Walkers can take linear routes along the Lough Derg Way and East Clare Way, or looped walks around the lakelands. In the village itself: a playground, café, public toilets, and a pub with a restaurant.

Lough Derg Yacht Club
Formed in 1835, LDYC is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the country — the first Annual Regatta was held the following year, and racing has run from Dromineer Bay ever since. The club is mere moments from the village.

Overlooking Lough Derg, The Whiskey Still is known for excellent home-cooked food at reasonable prices. Every Friday night the pub comes alive with traditional music — a cosy, authentic Irish experience by the lakeside.
