Padel Court Coming Soon!!
Waterside Cottages is adding a padel court on-site in the coming weeks, giving guests a fun way to stay active during their stay without leaving the grounds. Padel is one of the fastest-growing racket sports in Ireland, easy to pick up for beginners yet genuinely competitive for more experienced players, making it a great option for families, groups of friends, or couples looking to fit in some activity between lake days. Whether you’re warming up before a walk along the harbour or winding down after a day on Lough Derg, the new court adds another reason to make Dromineer your base.
Day Trip to Nenagh Castle
Just a short drive from Dromineer, Nenagh Castle is one of Ireland’s finest surviving Anglo-Norman keeps, its striking circular tower rising over the town of Nenagh since the early 13th century. Built by the Butler family, the castle offers visitors the chance to climb to the top for sweeping views over North Tipperary, a rewarding stop for anyone interested in medieval history or simply looking for a scenic outing during their stay. Combined with Nenagh’s town centre shops, cafes, and Heritage Centre, it makes for an easy half-day trip from the cottages.
